Valorant Vaulted Skins Explained: Can You Still Get Them?

Este artículo está escrito en inglés. La interfaz de la página está en el idioma que has seleccionado.
"Vaulted" in Valorant usually just means a skin isn't on sale right now, and there's a crucial split. Most skins come back: your four daily store offers draw from the wider catalog, and bundles get featured again. A small set is gone for good: past Champions bundles, old Battle Pass weapon skins, and one-time rewards like closed-beta player cards. Only that second group is truly rare, and because Valorant skins are account-bound, an account that holds them is the only way left to own them.
What "vaulted" actually means in Valorant
Valorant doesn't have an official vault. Its store runs on rotation: four random daily offers of skins you don't own, featured bundles for a limited time, and a Night Market a few times a year. So when a skin isn't in your store, it's usually just out of rotation. Players loosely call that "vaulted", but it's temporary. Truly retired items are a much narrower group, and telling the two apart is the whole game when you're valuing an account.
Out of rotation (these come back)
- Premium lines like Reaver, Prime, Elderflame, Glitchpop and Oni. Their skins keep reappearing in players' daily offers, even though they're expensive.
- Most other store skins. If a skin was sold in the regular store, expect to see it again at some point.
- Night Market discounts. A few times a year you can get six skins you don't own at 10–49% off. Exclusive and Ultra editions, very recent skins and melees above 3,550 VP are excluded. See how the Night Market works.
The practical rule: expensive isn't the same as rare. Don't overpay in a panic for a skin that will be back. Our Valorant skin tier list ranks the lines by prestige, and how to get Valorant skins explains each store channel.
Retired for good (these don't come back)
- Champions bundles. Riot sells one each year around the world championship and hasn't brought an older edition back. Our guide to the Champions bundles lists every edition.
- Battle Pass weapon skins. They aren't sold again after their pass ends. Some older pass accessories (cards, sprays, buddies and titles) can return in the Accessory Store for Kingdom Credits, but not the weapon skins, and not items from the current or two previous passes.
- Closed-beta rewards. Closed-beta player cards went only to players in the 2020 closed beta and haven't been offered since.
- Some one-time event and Prime Gaming rewards, which were time-limited.
Retired vs rotating at a glance
| Category | Examples | Will it return? |
|---|---|---|
| Store skins and bundles | Reaver, Prime, Elderflame, Oni | Yes: skins keep reappearing |
| Champions bundles | Champions 2021–2025 | Not so far: older editions haven't returned |
| Battle Pass weapon skins | Skins from expired passes | No: not sold again |
| Battle Pass accessories | Old cards, sprays, buddies, titles | Sometimes, in the Accessory Store |
| Closed-beta items | Closed-beta player cards | No: limited to 2020 beta players |
Why retired skins make an account more valuable
Valorant skins are account-bound: there's no trading and no way to move a skin between accounts. For a rotating skin that hardly matters, because you can wait for it. For a retired one, the account that holds it is the only source left. That's why Champions items add so much. On our marketplace on 25 September 2026, the 77 listings with at least one Champions skin had a median asking price of about $314, against about $160 for the 976 listings without one. These are whole-account asking prices, not completed sales. Can you still get vaulted skins?
It depends which kind. For skins that are just out of rotation, yes: keep an eye on your daily offers, featured bundles and the Night Market. For retired items, not from Riot at any price; the only route is an account that already has them. Before paying a scarcity premium, confirm which group a skin belongs to, because sellers sometimes market a rotating skin as if it were gone forever.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do vaulted Valorant skins ever come back?
Most do. Skins that are simply out of rotation keep reappearing in daily offers and featured bundles. The exceptions are past Champions bundles, old Battle Pass weapon skins and one-time rewards like closed-beta cards.
Which Valorant skins are permanently gone?
Past Champions bundles (Riot hasn't brought an older edition back), weapon skins from expired Battle Passes, and one-time rewards such as closed-beta player cards.
Why do retired skins raise account value?
Because Valorant skins can't be traded, a retired item can only be obtained by owning an account that has it. On our marketplace, listings with a Champions skin asked about twice as much as listings without one.
How do I know if a skin is retired or just rotating?
Check where it came from. If it was sold in the regular store or a featured bundle, it's almost certainly rotating. If it came from a Champions bundle, a Battle Pass, the closed beta or a one-time event, it's likely retired.
