Seller Protection
Selling gaming accounts on open platforms (eBay, Facebook groups, peer-to-peer Discord deals) has a brutal economic problem: chargebacks. A buyer pays via card, you deliver, the buyer calls the bank in 30 days claiming "unauthorized purchase," and you lose both the account and the payment. BuyAccount eliminates this risk through three layers of protection.
The Three Pillars
What's Covered
- Chargeback fraud — buyer claims unauthorized purchase post-delivery. We dispute with the card network using our delivery audit trail. You keep your payout.
- Buyer remorse disputes — buyer regrets the purchase 13 days later and tries to claim "listing mismatch" without evidence. Our dispute team blocks bad-faith claims.
- False recovery claims — buyer claims you tried to recover the account when you didn't. We check Riot login API and IP records; if you're innocent, you win.
- Cyber-attack on buyer side — buyer's email gets compromised, attacker tries to claim the seller is at fault. Detection: we see anomalous IP shift mid-dispute.
- Bank reversal after payout — for crypto payouts, post-payout reversal is impossible (immutable). For card/bank payouts, we hold a 7-day buffer for high-value sales.
What You Must Do (Compliance Requirements)
- Deliver via the encrypted vault, not Discord/email. Out-of-band delivery loses your audit trail; if you can't prove delivery happened, the chargeback shield doesn't apply.
- Don't log into the sold account after delivery. Our system tracks IP login attempts. Any seller-side login after credentials are released = automatic seller-fault dispute resolution.
- Don't share screenshots of the credentials. If a third party gains access from your screenshot, that's seller-side fault.
- Use accurate listing information. Inflated rank claims, wrong region, undisclosed bans — these are the #1 cause of legitimate buyer disputes, and the shield doesn't cover seller misrepresentation.
- Respond to dispute notifications within 24 hours. Silent sellers lose by default.

Seller Tier System
Your protection scales with your tier. New sellers (Bronze) have a 7-day payout hold for fraud cooling-off. Top-tier sellers get instant payouts and 90%+ dispute approval. Tier criteria:
- Bronze — new sellers, <20 completed orders. Standard protection.
- Silver — 20+ orders, >90% positive feedback. Reduced payout hold (3 days).
- Gold — 100+ orders, >95% feedback. Same-day payout, priority dispute review.
- Platinum — 500+ orders, >98% feedback. 6% fee (instead of 8%), instant payout, dedicated account manager.
- Top Seller — invite-only, top 1%. Featured placement, 5% fee, custom payout terms.
When You're at Fault
Honest disclosure: there are scenarios where the shield does NOT apply, and rightly so. We won't protect sellers who:
- Knowingly list stolen accounts (we cooperate with law enforcement);
- Attempt account recovery after delivery (lifetime ban + deposit forfeit);
- Deliver botted accounts as "hand-leveled";
- Inflate skin counts, rank, or region;
- Fail to deliver within the stated SLA;
- Use multiple accounts to manipulate feedback or stock count.
Becoming a Seller
Application process at /seller-apply. We approve about 33% of applicants on the first review. Reasons for rejection: incomplete KYC, prior fraud reports on other platforms, no track record of account sourcing.
