Default setup
A default setup is a patient, balanced way for the attacking team to spread across the map early in a round, taking key areas and gathering information without committing to a single bombsite. It keeps options open so the team can react to what the defenders are doing.
Players hold map control, trade picks, and wait for the right moment to convert into a fast hit or a mid-round call. On the defending side, a default refers to a standard, even distribution of players across sites. Defaulting is the opposite of rushing and rewards discipline, timing, and good communication.
