Baiting
Baiting is when a player hangs back and lets a teammate engage the enemy first, then steps in afterward. Used intentionally and with communication, it is legitimate trade setup: the second player punishes whoever wins the first duel.
The term is more often used negatively, describing a teammate who deliberately uses others as expendable fodder while doing nothing to help, refusing to trade or share utility. There is a fine line between smart trading and selfish baiting; the difference is whether the bait player actually follows up and converts the opening into kills or map control.
