Off-angle
An off-angle is an unusual or unexpected position to hold, away from the spots opponents instinctively pre-aim and pre-fire when they peek. By standing somewhere uncommon, you appear outside the enemy's expected field of view and gain a crucial reaction-time advantage.
Off-angles work precisely because attackers clear the obvious places first, leaving you a free shot from the side. The trade-off is reduced cover and sometimes a worse escape route if the read fails. Skilled defenders rotate between common angles and off-angles to stay unpredictable, and many strong off-angles are set up using run boosts.
