Pre-firing
Pre-firing is the act of starting to shoot at a position before an enemy actually becomes visible, anticipating that someone is holding that angle. Because it takes a moment to react after seeing a target, players who already have bullets flying when the enemy appears win the duel outright.
Good pre-firing relies on game sense, map knowledge, and consistent crosshair placement at head level. It is most effective on common holding spots learned through experience. Used wrongly it just wastes ammo and reveals your position, so it pairs best with information from utility or teammates.
