Crosshair placement
Crosshair placement is the habit of keeping your aiming reticle where an enemy is most likely to appear, ideally at head height and pre-aimed around corners. Strong placement means you barely have to move your mouse to land a shot, which is far faster and more accurate than flicking across the screen.
It is widely considered the single most important fundamental in CS2 accounts gameplay. Keeping the crosshair high and tight to walls turns many duels into near-instant kills. Beginners often aim at the floor or body; raising it to head level produces immediate improvement.
