Zero Build is a permanent Fortnite mode that turns off building entirely, so matches come down to aim, movement, and using the map’s natural cover. To compensate for the lost defensive walls, it gives every player a rechargeable overshield and extra mobility tools like mantling and sprinting.

It launched as the standout alternative to the classic build meta, opening Fortnite up to players who love the shooting but never wanted to learn fast editing. Zero Build shares the same map, loot pool, and seasonal content as the build playlists, so it is a full way to play the game rather than a side mode.
