Scuttle Crab

The Scuttle Crab is a neutral, non-aggressive monster that spawns in each half of the river. Killing it grants the slayer's team a small zone of vision and a speed boost on that part of the river for a time, helping with map control and movement.

Because vision and tempo around the river feed directly into securing Dragon and the Rift Herald, the crab is a frequent early flashpoint between junglers. Winning the fight over Scuttle — or simply taking it uncontested — is a subtle but meaningful early advantage, which is why high-level junglers prioritise it.
