Case

A case in CS2 is a loot box that requires a paid key to open, yielding a random skin from its pool with a small chance at a rare item or knife.

Cases themselves can be collectible: once Valve discontinues a case, its supply is fixed, and some older cases steadily appreciate. A stock of rare cases adds quiet value to an inventory.
