Glider Redeploy

Glider redeploy is the ability to reopen your glider during a match — not just at the start — whenever you fall from a great enough height. It lets you float down safely from tall structures, cliffs, or after being launched, instead of taking fall damage on landing.

This is the mechanic that makes mobility tools like Launch Pads and Rifts so useful, since they fling you into the air and rely on redeploy to bring you down. Epic has switched glider redeploy on and off and tweaked its rules across seasons, making it one of the more debated movement features in the game.
