Mythic Weapon

A Mythic weapon is the top rarity tier in Fortnite, shown with a distinctive gold colour and usually a unique name. Mythics are stronger than the standard loot pool versions and are typically not found in normal chests — you earn them by defeating a named boss NPC who carries one.

Because there is often only one of each boss per match, securing a Mythic gives a real combat edge and is a common mid-game objective. Mythics are a per-match pickup tied to the current season’s map and bosses, so they affect how a round plays rather than carrying over as lasting account value.
