Rotating

Rotating is the act of moving from one part of the map to the next safe zone, staying ahead of the closing storm rather than being forced through it. Good rotations use cover, vehicles, and high ground so you arrive early and on favourable terrain.

It is one of the most important battle-royale skills: late or careless rotations leave you taking storm damage or pushing into players already set up in strong positions. Smart players plan a route the moment the next zone is shown, weighing the shortest path against the safest one.
