Save the World

Save the World, often shortened to STW, is Fortnite’s original game mode: a co-op player-versus-environment campaign where up to four players build forts and fight off waves of AI zombie-like “husks.” It centres on gathering resources, completing missions, and progressing a hero and weapon collection.

It predates the free Battle Royale that made Fortnite famous and remains a separate paid mode. STW matters to account buyers because it can grant V-Bucks through its mission alerts, and long-time STW accounts often hold rare founder-era rewards.
