Creative is Fortnite’s sandbox mode, giving players private islands and a toolkit to build their own maps, mini-games, and experiences. Modes range from box fights and deathrun obstacle courses to full custom game types, all shareable through island codes.

It has grown into a platform of its own through Unreal Editor for Fortnite, which lets advanced creators publish polished experiences that appear right alongside Battle Royale in the lobby. Progress and cosmetics in Creative use the same account as the main game, so the skins in your Locker carry across every island you play.
