Hardcore Player
A hardcore player is deeply dedicated to a game, investing serious time into mastering mechanics, climbing the ranked ladder, and staying current with the meta. They often track patch notes closely, practice deliberately, and aim for the highest competitive tiers.
The term contrasts with a casual player and describes commitment rather than skill alone, though the two usually go together. “Hardcore” can also name a high-stakes mode where death is permanent. For hardcore players, a high-rank or fully unlocked account represents real achievement, which is part of why such accounts command premium prices on the market.
