Rank decay is the loss of rank that some games apply when a high-tier player stops playing for a while. It keeps the top of the ladder active and prevents people from parking on a peak rank.

For buyers it is a key check: an account’s value tracks its current rank, not a past peak that has since decayed. Always confirm the live rank before paying for a high-tier account.
