Control Ward

A Control Ward is a purchasable item, commonly called a "pink ward," that grants stationary vision while also revealing and disabling enemy wards and traps within its radius. Unlike free placed wards it does not expire on a timer, but only one Control Ward per player can be active on the map at a time.

Control Wards are central to the vision game: they let teams deny enemy information around objectives like Dragon and Baron while keeping their own vision uncontested. Buying them consistently is a hallmark of good macro play, since clearing the enemy's eyes off the map enables safer rotations, picks, and objective setups.
