Elder Dragon

The Elder Dragon is the most powerful dragon in League of Legends, appearing in the late game only after a team has already claimed its Dragon Soul. Killing it grants every member of the team a temporary buff that burns enemies it damages and can quickly execute low-health opponents.

Because the buff is so strong in a fight, securing the Elder Dragon often decides the closing teamfights of a match and lets a team push for the win. It is among the highest-stakes objectives in the game, and most late-game positioning revolves around contesting or denying it.
