League of Legends

Inhibitor

An Inhibitor is a structure sitting inside each team's base, one guarding each of the three lanes behind the inner turrets. Destroying an enemy Inhibitor causes that lane to spawn Super Minions — tougher, harder-hitting units that pressure the base — until the Inhibitor regenerates after a set time.

Taking down an Inhibitor is a key step toward winning, because the relentless Super Minions force the enemy to defend rather than fight, opening the map for your team. All three Inhibitors must be down (or about to respawn) before the Nexus can be attacked from every angle, so they are the final layer before the game-ending push.
