Top Lane

Top lane is the upper, most isolated lane on the map, and the role that plays it. Cut off from the rest of the team for long stretches, it is famous for extended one-on-one matchups, making it the classic home of tanks, bruisers, and split-pushers.

Top laners often win by managing the minion wave and applying side-lane pressure rather than grouping early. Because the lane is so self-reliant, it rewards strong fundamentals and is a satisfying solo role for players climbing the ranked ladder.
