Lineup

A lineup is a pre-learned setup for throwing an ability so it lands accurately on a faraway target you cannot see. The player aligns their crosshair with a fixed reference point on the map, a wall mark, a skybox edge, or a HUD element, then fires, knowing the projectile will arc to the intended spot.

Lineups are most associated with post-plant utility: agents like Viper, Brimstone, Sova, KAY/O, and Killjoy use them to damage or clear defusers from safety. Learning reliable lineups for your agents on each map is a deep, high-value skill that wins post-plant rounds and is heavily practiced by serious Valorant players.
