Rotating
Rotating is repositioning from one part of the map to another, most often defenders shifting to the bombsite that is actually under attack. A successful rotate gets enough players to the right place in time to defend or retake, while a mistimed or over-eager rotate leaves a site undefended and easy to take.
Rotations are driven by information: sounds, sightings, spotted utility, and fakes like the decoy grenade that try to trigger a wrong rotate. Fast, well-judged rotating, knowing when to commit and when to hold, is a key team skill, and reading the map well to rotate at the right moment marks a high-level player.
