Rarity Tier

A rarity tier is the scarcity class assigned to seeds, pets, eggs, and gear, typically running from Common through Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and beyond. Higher tiers appear less often in shops or hatch with lower odds, which makes them harder to obtain.

Rarity is a useful shorthand for scarcity, but it is not the same as in-game value. Some rare pets have weak traits, while certain easily obtained pets are among the best money-makers, so experienced players judge items by their actual effect on income rather than their tier alone. Rarity tiers still strongly influence trade prices, since scarce items are the hardest to replace.
