Void Grubs

Void Grubs are a small pack of neutral monsters that spawn in the Baron pit in the early game, before the Rift Herald. Each grub a team kills grants a stacking buff that makes the team's attacks deal bonus damage to turrets, with the full set of stacks turning structures into easy targets.

Because the buff directly accelerates taking towers, contesting the grubs is a key early-game objective and a common flashpoint for skirmishes. Securing them tilts map control and gold in your favour, making them part of the same objective race that includes the Herald and Dragon.
