The carousel is a recurring shared-draft round where every player is released onto a rotating ring of champions, each holding a free item or item component. You walk your Teamfight Tactics (TFT) accounts avatar onto a unit to grab both it and whatever it carries.

Players with the lowest health pick first, a catch-up mechanic that helps those who are losing. The carousel is a key source of early items and off-plan champions, so deciding whether to prioritise the item, the unit, or a specific trait is an important snap judgement. The first carousel of the game gives everyone their starting item components.
