Leveling

Leveling is spending four gold to buy experience and raise your player level. Each level lets you place one more champion on the board and improves the odds of higher-cost units appearing in your shop. You also gain a little XP automatically every round.

When to level is a constant tug-of-war with your economy: pushing levels quickly gives a bigger board now, while saving gold builds interest for a stronger spike later. Leveling fast to find premium units is the opposite approach to slow rolling at a fixed level. Mastering this timing is fundamental to climbing.
