Peeker's Advantage
Peeker's advantage is the small but real edge the player who initiates a peek holds over someone holding still. Because of network latency and how movement is transmitted, the peeker often sees and can shoot the defender a fraction of a second before the defender's screen even shows them.
This is why aggressively swinging an angle can beat a player who is pre-aimed at it, and why defenders are taught to play off-angles, clear with utility, or jiggle-peek to deny the advantage. Understanding peeker's advantage shapes nearly every positional decision in Valorant, from holding sites to retaking them, and rewards proactive movement over passive waiting.
