Refragging
Refragging, also called trading, is killing an enemy right after they kill one of your teammates, so the exchange ends even rather than in the enemy's favor. The idea is that a teammate's death is acceptable if it lets you eliminate the shooter while they are reloading, repositioning, or still visible.
Effective refragging depends on spacing and timing: you stay close enough to your teammate to punish their killer, but not so close that one piece of utility kills you both. Teams that consistently trade keep numbers even and turn lost duels into neutral ones, which is why disciplined refragging is a cornerstone of coordinated Valorant play.
