Sentinel

A Sentinel is the defensive Valorant agent role, built to hold ground, secure flanks, and slow enemy pushes. Agents such as Killjoy, Cypher, Sage, Chamber, and Deadlock deploy traps, alarms, and crowd-control tools that warn the team and buy time.

Sentinels let the rest of a squad play aggressively elsewhere, knowing a site or flank is covered by utility. The role rewards patience and game sense rather than constant aggression, and a strong Sentinel can win post-plant rounds almost single-handedly by stalling defusers and punishing over-extensions.
