For Platinum-Diamond tiers, yes — rank persists unless you actively play and lose. For Master-Grandmaster-Challenger, decay rules apply: inactive accounts lose LP every 10 days below a threshold. Listings show current decay status; we recommend logging in within 24 hours of purchase and playing one normal-queue match to refresh the decay timer.
Can I play ranked immediately on a Iron account?
Yes. The account has already completed its 10 placement matches and locked in the listed rank. Log in, change credentials, queue ranked. The first 1-2 games will feel like opponents are at your rank — because they are.
What if I don't play at this skill level?
Be honest with yourself. Iron opponents play at Entry rank percentile — they have champion mastery and macro habits you may not. Buying a Iron account when you play at Silver level results in fast LP loss. Consider coaching instead, or a lower-tier ranked account.
Why are higher tiers so much more expensive?
Three reasons: (1) listing supply is much smaller — there are far fewer Master+ players globally than Plat. (2) labor cost to produce — a Iron account requires hundreds of ranked games by a skilled seller. (3) decay protection — for Master+ tiers, listings include a recent-activity guarantee to ensure decay hasn't kicked in.
Are these accounts hand-leveled or pre-played?
Pre-played. Iron tier requires actual ranked play — you can't hand-level your way into Master. The previous owner played 50-300+ ranked games to climb to this tier. The account history reflects that real play.
Will Riot decay flag my account after I buy it?
Decay applies to inactive Master/Grandmaster/Challenger accounts. After purchase, play one ranked or normal match per 10 days to keep the timer reset.
