HE Grenade

The HE grenade (high-explosive) detonates on impact or after a short fuse, dealing burst damage that scales with how close enemies are and whether they have armor. It rarely kills a healthy, armored player outright, but it is excellent for finishing low-health opponents, softening a stacked group before a push, or punishing players who cluster behind cover.

HE grenades are often paired with other utility: a molotov or flash forces enemies to bunch up, then the HE finishes the damage. They can also briefly clear a hole through a smoke. Knowing exact damage lineups is a mark of an experienced grenade player.
