Wallbang
A wallbang is a kill or hit scored by firing through a wall, door, crate, or other penetrable surface. In CS2 every material has a penetration value: thin wood and drywall let bullets through with little damage loss, while thick concrete and metal absorb most of the impact. Higher-penetration weapons like rifles and the AWP punch through far better than pistols or SMGs.
Players use wallbangs to punish enemies hiding behind common cover, to finish a wounded opponent who breaks contact, or to pre-fire predictable spots. Map knowledge, knowing which surfaces are thin and where enemies typically stand, is what turns a wild wall spray into a reliable wallbang.
