Ping
Ping measures the round-trip time, in milliseconds (ms), for data to travel from your device to the game server and back. Lower is better: under about 30 ms feels instant, while 100 ms or more makes a fast-paced game feel sluggish and unresponsive.
Ping is driven mainly by physical distance to the server and the quality of your connection, which is why playing on a far-away region usually feels worse. High ping is a common cause of what players loosely call “lag.” When choosing an account, picking one tied to a server region close to you keeps ping low and the game responsive.
