Queue

A queue is the matchmaking line you join while a game searches for a suitable match. Once enough players of similar skill are found, the queue “pops” and the match begins. Most competitive games run several queues at once, such as ranked, normal, and specific game modes.

Queue times depend on your rank, region, and the time of day. Very high ranks often wait longer because there are fewer players to match against. Long queues are also why region matters when buying an account: a healthy player base keeps queues short, while a dead region can mean painful waits even on a strong account.
