Bounty

A bounty is bonus gold attached to a champion or structure that grows as a team or player builds an advantage. Individual bounties rise with kill streaks and overall gold leads, while team-wide bounties appear when one side falls significantly behind, raising the reward for taking enemy turrets and inhibitors.

Bounties exist to keep games competitive and prevent runaway snowballs. A trailing team can claw back into contention by collecting bounties on fed enemies and objectives, so reading who carries a bounty helps you prioritize targets in teamfights and decide which lanes or objectives are most rewarding to contest.
