Headshot

A headshot is a shot that lands on an enemy's head, the most rewarded hit location in Valorant. Headshots apply a large damage multiplier, so most rifles such as the Vandal kill in a single head hit at almost any range, while body and leg shots take several more bullets.

Because the time-to-kill is so punishing, aiming for the head is the foundation of Valorant gunplay rather than an optional flourish. This is why players obsess over crosshair placement and headshot percentage, training to keep their aim at head height. A high headshot rate directly reflects mechanical skill and is a key value signal on traded accounts.
