Cheap LoL Accounts: What You Get for Under $20 in 2026

The cheapest League of Legends accounts start at around $7, and on our marketplace about 23% of active LoL listings were under $20 on 25 September 2026. At that price you're usually buying a plain account with no current ranked placement and few skins: fine for a second account, a fresh start or another region. Cheap accounts are cheap for ordinary reasons, but the safety checks matter just as much as on an expensive one.
What under $20 gets you in League of Legends
Budget accounts trade away rank and rare skins for a low price, and for most buyers that's the right trade. What to expect:
- At the very bottom: a basic account at or above level 30, usually with no current ranked placement and few or no skins.
- Closer to $20: more champions, some Blue Essence and a handful of skins, depending on the server.
For context, level 30–49 accounts with no current ranked placement had a median asking price of about $24 across 549 listings on our marketplace on 25 September 2026, with the middle half between roughly $14 and $67. These are asking prices, not completed sales, and they change daily. See the current floor on our page for LoL accounts under $20.
Cheap smurf and unranked accounts
Most cheap LoL accounts are used as smurfs: a second account separate from your main, for fresh placements, a new role, playing with lower-ranked friends or a different region. What matters is that it can queue ranked — level 30 and at least 20 champions — and that you get the original email. Browse the LoL smurf accounts segment for accounts built for exactly this, and read what a LoL smurf account is if you're new to the idea.
Why some LoL accounts are so cheap
- No current rank. Rank can be earned by playing, so an account without one carries no rank premium — and many buyers prefer clean placements anyway.
- Few or no skins. Skin collections are one of the biggest price drivers; an account without one simply hasn't had that money spent on it.
- A lower-priced server. Supply differs by region, and so do prices (see below).
- How it was levelled. Bot-levelled accounts are mass-produced and cheap, and they carry more risk; see hand-leveled vs botted accounts.
What a low price must not mean is a stolen account or one the seller can recover. That's the real risk to screen for.
Regions: where LoL accounts cost least
On our marketplace on 25 September 2026, the lowest median asking prices were on RU (about $14), LAS and LAN (about $23 each) and VN (about $25), compared with about $35 on EUW. Cheaper isn't better if you play elsewhere, though:
- Match your region for good ping. A distant server means high latency every game.
- Changing region costs money. A Riot server transfer costs 2,600 RP and means playing new placement games.
- Ranked is tied to the region. Buy where you actually want to play.
How to buy a cheap LoL account safely
- Buy through a marketplace with escrow. Your payment is held until you confirm the login works.
- Insist on full original-email access — the inbox the account was created with, not just the game login.
- Change everything immediately: email password, Riot password, account email, then two-factor authentication.
- Check how it was levelled with a match-history screenshot.
- Confirm the server before you pay.
If a seller tells you "don't change the email", walk away. Remember too that Riot's terms prohibit account sales, even though Riot's enforcement targets how an account is played rather than who owns it. The full checklist is in how to buy game accounts safely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to buy a cheap LoL account?
A low price isn't a red flag by itself; most cheap accounts are simply plain accounts with no rank or skins. The real risks are seller recovery and a bot-levelled history, which you manage with escrow, full email access and a match-history check.
What is the cheapest League of Legends account you can buy?
On our marketplace the cheapest active listings started at around $7 on 25 September 2026, and about 23% of LoL listings were under $20. Prices change daily, so check the current floor before you buy.
Are cheap LoL accounts ranked?
Usually not. Most accounts on our marketplace had no current ranked placement, and budget ones almost never do — which is ideal if you want fresh placements.
