How to Check a Brawl Stars Account Before Buying

QUICK ANSWER
Before you pay for a Brawl Stars account, check three things: who controls the login (Supercell ID email included, no phone number linked), how upgraded the brawlers really are (power levels, gadgets, star powers, gears and hypercharges, not just the trophy total) and how you pay (escrow with a dispute window). Trophies alone can mislead: an account can have many trophies spread over weak brawlers.
Most disappointing Brawl Stars purchases fail on one of two points: the buyer never got full control of the login, or the brawlers were far less upgraded than the trophy count suggested. This checklist goes through what to look at, in the order that matters.
1. Control of the account
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| The account is saved to a Supercell ID | Once an account is connected to Supercell ID, nobody can log in to it any other way; Supercell ID logs in with a code sent to its email |
| You receive the email the Supercell ID is linked to | Without that inbox you can't receive login codes or move the Supercell ID to your own email |
| No phone number is linked | Account Protection (SMS and recovery codes) cannot be disabled through settings or support |
| Not obtained by phishing or brute force | Stolen accounts are the ones most likely to be reclaimed |

2. The brawlers: look past the trophy total
Power level goes up to 11, and each step unlocks something: the first gadget at power 7, a gear slot at 8 (a second one at 10), star powers at 9 and the hypercharge at 11. So these numbers tell you how much work is already done:
- Power 11 brawlers. Fully levelled brawlers, ready for every mode. Ranked needs power 9 to play and power 11 from Mythic rank up.
- Hypercharges. Only power 11 brawlers can have one, so the count is a good sign of a well-upgraded account.
- Gadgets, star powers and gears. Each brawler can have up to two gadgets, two star powers and two gear slots.
- Brawler count and rarities. Rarities run Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Mythic, Legendary and Ultra; about 108 brawlers existed as of the August 2026 update.
- Best Ranked rank. Ranks run from Bronze to Masters, then Pro; the best rank ever reached shows what the account has done.
3. Extras that come with the account
- Skins. Equipped skins are owned by the account. Some skins can no longer be obtained, such as Brawl Pass skins from before February 2022.
- Prestige. Brawlers that reach 1,000 trophies can Prestige; Supercell says Prestige progress is permanent.
- Brawl Pass. An active pass only lasts until the end of its season, about a month.
- Other Supercell games. Clash of Clans or Clash Royale progress on the same Supercell ID comes with it.
4. Paying and delivery
- Pay through escrow, so the seller is only paid after you have checked the account.
- Check the brawlers in the game against the listing before you confirm delivery.
- Change the Supercell ID email to your own on day one: Settings, Supercell ID, Change Email.
On BuyAccount payment is held until you confirm the account, and the 14-day buyer protection covers a mismatch, failed delivery or an account that stops working through the seller's fault. How it works shows each step.
How BuyAccount listings help
Every Brawl Stars listing shows each brawler's power level, trophies, gadgets, star powers, gears, hypercharge and equipped skin, read from the account's own game data, plus the trophies, the best Ranked rank and total Prestige. Listings state that no phone number is linked and that the email comes with the account; we leave out accounts under 10,000 trophies or 30 brawlers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are more trophies always better?
Not on their own. Compare the number of power 11 brawlers and hypercharges too: they show how far the brawlers have been upgraded.
What if the brawlers don't match the listing?
Don't confirm delivery. Open a dispute within the buyer-protection window instead.
Can I check the account before the seller is paid?
Yes. With escrow, the seller isn't paid until you confirm, so check the brawlers in the game first.
