What is Valorant Points?
Valorant Points (VP) is the primary premium currency in Valorant.
You spend VP on cosmetics.
Weapon skins are the most-purchased items. Other uses: agent unlocks (Reyna, Killjoy, etc., though most are also free via Agent Contracts), Battle Pass premium track (~1,000 VP / $10 per Act), gun buddies, sprays, player cards, and bundles. VP is also the only way to acquire Radianite Points (RP). RP upgrades weapon-skin variants and chromas. Every VP bundle includes a small RP allocation. Unlike Riot Points in LoL, VP cannot be earned through normal gameplay. Real money only. Some Battle Pass missions reward small VP amounts (typically 100-200 per Act). But the vast majority of VP comes from direct purchase.
Earned vs Bought: Can You Get VP Without Spending?
Earning VP through gameplay: impossible in any practical amount.
Battle Pass missions occasionally award small VP-equivalent rewards.
Typical: 50-100 VP from event missions. These are negligible. A single 1,000 VP skin via free-play would take 10+ months of consistent Battle Pass completion. The only practical path to VP is direct purchase. This is a deliberate Riot design choice. Valorant's in-game economy is purchase-driven by design. League of Legends differs — Blue Essence (the LoL equivalent of VP for unlocking content) IS earnable through normal play.
Valorant Points Denominations — Standard Tier Table
Riot sells VP in fixed denominations. Larger purchases include a small bonus VP amount (typically 5-10% more value per dollar at the higher tiers). The standard NA/EU pricing tiers:
| VP Amount | USD Price (NA/EU standard) | Typical Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| 125 VP | \$2.99 | Smallest bundle — gun buddy or single spray |
| 420 VP | \$8.99 | Battle Pass premium track unlock |
| 1,000 VP | \$19.99 | Mid-tier skin or Episode bundle entry |
| 2,050 VP | \$34.99 | Premium skin (most Vandal/Phantom skins) |
| 3,650 VP | \$59.99 | Full premium bundle (Reaver, Prime, Ion-tier) |
| 5,350 VP | \$89.99 | Ultra-edition bundle (Elderflame, Singularity, Araxys) |
| 11,000 VP | \$179.99 | Multi-bundle bulk purchase + collector tier |
Note: Bundle purchases (skin packs) typically work out cheaper per-skin than buying each skin individually with VP. The bundle savings are intentional — Riot drives high-value purchasers to bundles to maximize per-transaction spend.
Regional Pricing — Where the Discount Lives
Riot prices VP in local currency to match cost of living. Players in Turkey, Brazil, and Argentina pay 40-70% less in USD-equivalent terms than NA/EU players — and these discounts compound on Premium and Ultra bundles.
North America Region — VP Top-Up
Native USD pricing — fastest delivery to NA-region accounts, no region-transfer needed. Region: NA.
Important: North America-region VP can ONLY be redeemed on Riot accounts registered in the North America region. If your Riot account is registered in NA/EU/AP/etc., you cannot redeem North America codes on it — Riot's redemption flow validates the region match and rejects mismatched codes. To benefit from North America pricing, you need a North America-region Riot account (either created fresh in the region OR transferred via Riot's paid Region Transfer service).
Once we launch, VP codes for North America will be priced in USD, with payment options including local methods (where supported by our processor) and global card/crypto payment.
How Top-Up Redemption Works (6-Step Process)
Once our service launches, the redemption flow works the same as any standard Riot prepaid code. Here's the full walkthrough:
Region Locking — The Critical Risk to Understand
⚠️ Read carefully before purchase: Riot enforces strict region-locking on VP codes. A code purchased through the Turkish channel ONLY works on Riot accounts registered in Turkey. There is NO way to redeem a Turkish code on an NA/EU/AP/KR account. This isn't our restriction — it's Riot's policy, enforced at the redemption-API level. Before purchasing TR/BR/AR codes, verify that you have an account in the matching region. If you only have an NA account, the only path to use TR VP is to either create a fresh TR-region account OR pay Riot's official Region Transfer service (2,600 RP / ~$25 — note this is one-way and can take up to 1 week).
What Else You Can Buy in Valorant With VP
Beyond skin bundles, here are the most common uses of VP:
- Battle Pass (1,000 VP / ~$10 per Act): 50-tier track with skins, gun buddies, sprays, and Radianite Points. Best per-dollar value in Valorant.
- Premium weapon bundles (7,100 VP / ~$60): Reaver, Prime, Ion, Oni, Sovereign, Kuronami, etc.
- Ultra-edition bundles (9,900 VP / ~$85): Elderflame, Singularity, Araxys. Animated weapons + dragon-claw melees.
- Champions Collection bundles (6,265 VP, event-window only): Champions 2021-2024 commemorative skins.
- Individual gun skins (1,775-2,175 VP): Pick specific Vandals/Phantoms outside bundle context.
- Agent Contracts (1,000 VP fast-unlock): Skip 200K XP grind on new agents like Tejo, Iso, Clove.
- Radianite Points (RP) for skin upgrades: Each Premium-tier skin requires 10-25 RP to fully upgrade through Level 4 variants.
