About the Champions 2022 Bundle
After Champions 2021's Vandal headliner, Riot rotated to the Phantom for Champions 2022.
That gave the two top rifles equal time in the Champions Collection.
The Champions 2022 Phantom keeps the 4-level progressive upgrade system. But it uses a different VFX direction. Ember-and-ash particle effects on the level-4 upgrade. Distinct from 2021's gold-aura. The Butterfly Knife melee was a fan-service choice. Butterfly Knives are CS:GO's iconic premium melee. Riot's adoption (with Valorant-original animations) was widely celebrated.
