The cheapest Valorant accounts on our marketplace start under $10, but the true budget tier is small. On 25 September 2026, 46 of our 1,053 Valorant listings (about 4%) asked under $20, and 205 asked under $50, with a median of about $33. They're cheap for an ordinary reason: they carry few or no premium skins. If you just want a clean account to play on, region-matched and ideally ranked-ready, this is where to shop. The main thing to screen for is a seller who could take the account back, and the checks below cover that.

What you actually get at the budget end

Budget Valorant accounts trade skins for price. That's a fair trade if you're buying to play rather than to collect. Here's the picture from our 25 September 2026 snapshot. These are asking prices, not completed sales.

  • Under $20 (46 listings): typically one skin and a median account level of 16. Only about 41% were already Level 20, the level Competitive requires, and almost all were unranked. This is the "I just need a clean account" tier. Expect to play some unrated matches before ranked opens up.
  • Under $50 (205 listings): the median asking price was about $33, and about 69% of these accounts were already Level 20, so they can start placement games straight away. Almost all were unranked.

You can see live examples on our page for cheap Valorant accounts under $20, and compare them with the wider catalog on the Valorant marketplace, where the median listing asked about $170.

Why some Valorant accounts are so cheap

A low price makes buyers nervous, so it's worth being clear. In most cases a cheap account is cheap for one of these ordinary reasons:

  • It has few or no premium skins. Skins drive most of a Valorant account's price. A Premium bundle costs 7,100 VP (about $70 at US store prices), and a single melee skin costs 3,550 to 4,950 VP. An account without them simply hasn't had that money spent on it.
  • It's newer or lower-level. A fresh account hasn't built up Battle Pass history or a long match record, which lowers its price even though it plays perfectly well.
  • It's unranked. Placed accounts ask more on our marketplace, so unranked accounts sit at the cheap end. Many buyers prefer them anyway, so their own placements decide the rank.

What a low price should not mean is a stolen account or one the seller plans to recover. That's the real risk to screen for: not the price itself, but whether the seller hands over full control. Our guide on whether it's safe to buy a Valorant account covers the reasoning; the short version is below.

How to buy a cheap Valorant account safely

A budget account deserves the same safety steps as an expensive one, arguably more, because bargain listings on unverified sites are exactly where recovery scams hide:

  • Buy through a marketplace with escrow. Your payment should be held until you confirm the login works.
  • Insist on full original-email access. You need the inbox the Riot account was created with, not just the game login.
  • Change everything immediately: the email password, the Riot password, the account email, then turn on multi-factor authentication. Our guide to changing your Valorant email shows how.
  • Prefer hand-leveled over botted. A human-played account looks normal to Riot's systems; cheaply botted accounts can be banned later.
  • Match your region. Riot doesn't sell region transfers, so pick the server where you play.

Buying any account is against Riot's Terms of Service, but a low price doesn't add risk on its own: Riot's systems look at how an account is played, not what it cost. Keep it clean after you buy, with no cheats, scripts or paid boosting, since that's what gets accounts banned.

If your goal is a clean low-rank account for fresh queues, the same advice applies to our Valorant smurf accounts, the segment most budget shoppers are really after. Our explainer on what a Valorant smurf account is covers how they work.

What to check before you pay

  • Email included? If the seller withholds the original email or says "don't change the email", walk away.
  • Region stated? Confirm it matches your server.
  • Level and agents? Check whether the account is Level 20 yet and how many agents are unlocked.
  • Rank? If it's sold as placed, ask for a current Career-tab screenshot.
  • Protection? Make sure the purchase is covered by buyer protection, not a direct off-platform transfer.

Tick all five and you've covered the main risks. Skip the email or escrow steps and the price stops mattering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to buy a cheap Valorant account?

A low price on its own isn't a red flag; cheap accounts usually just have fewer skins. Buying through a marketplace with escrow and changing the email, password and MFA the moment the account is yours closes the recovery risk. Beyond that, choose a hand-leveled account and play it normally: cheats, scripts and paid boosting are what get accounts banned, not the price you paid.

What is the cheapest Valorant account you can buy?

On our marketplace, the cheapest listings asked just under $10 on 25 September 2026, and 46 listings asked under $20. These are fresh or lightly played accounts with minimal skins, and many aren't Level 20 yet. The under-$20 page linked above shows the current floor.

Are cheap Valorant accounts ranked?

Almost never. In our snapshot, nearly all listings under $20 were unranked, and fewer than half had reached Level 20. If you want an account that can queue ranked immediately, look a little higher: about 69% of our listings under $50 were already Level 20.
