Best Valorant Knife Skins in 2026 (Ranked by Collectors)

In Valorant, the knife is the most expensive single item you can own. A melee skin costs 3,550 to 4,950 Valorant Points depending on its edition, roughly twice a rifle skin, and like every Valorant skin it can never be traded or moved to another account. This is our 2026 ranking of the best Valorant knife (melee) skins: what makes each one stand out, what it costs, and what knives add to an account on our marketplace.
What makes a Valorant knife "the best"?
Looks matter, but they aren't the whole story. Four things separate a top-tier melee skin from an ordinary one:
- Cost. Melee skins in most Premium bundles cost 3,550 VP, some Premium and Exclusive melees cost 4,350 VP or more, and Ultra-edition melees cost 4,950 VP. At US store prices (1,000 VP for $9.99), that's roughly $35 to $50 for one knife.
- Availability. Most knives can come back in the store. The annual Champions knives were sold only during their event window, and Riot hasn't brought an older Champions bundle back.
- Animations and finisher. The premium lines carry custom equip animations and effects. A knife that visibly transforms reads as premium instantly.
- What it signals. Because melee skins are locked to the account, a knife collection is clear proof of long-term spending. That's why buyers check the knives first when they judge an account.
The best Valorant knife skins in 2026, ranked
1. Champions knives — the rarest melee in the game
Riot releases one Champions bundle a year, tied to the VCT Champions event and sold only during that event window. The melees so far: the Champions 2021 Karambit, 2022 Butterfly Knife, 2023 Kunai, 2024 Blade and 2025 Butterfly Knife, with a 2026 edition following the same model. Older editions haven't returned to the store, which makes the early knives, especially the 2021 Karambit, the ultimate status pieces. Our rarest Valorant skins guide explains why Champions items are the closest thing Valorant has to a true rarity.
2. Elderflame Dagger — the iconic dragon knife
The Elderflame Dagger turns your melee into a small dragon. It came with Elderflame, the first Ultra-edition collection, released in July 2020, and it still tops many players' "most wanted" lists.
3. RGX 11z Pro Blade and Firefly — the neon showpieces
The RGX 11z Pro line has two melees, the RGX 11z Pro Blade and the RGX 11z Pro Firefly. Both have bright, color-shifting variants, and both are frequent centerpieces on stacked accounts.
4. Reaver Knife and Reaver Karambit — the fan favorites
Reaver is one of Valorant's best-loved lines. The original 2020 bundle came with the Reaver Knife, and Reaver 2.0 in 2022 added the Reaver Karambit, sold at 4,350 VP on its own. The dark purple look pairs with the equally popular Reaver Vandal.
5. Glitchpop Dagger and Axe — loud and animated
The Glitchpop Dagger and Glitchpop Axe bring neon, glitch-art effects and some of the most over-the-top animations in the game. They suit players who want their melee noticed.
6. Prime Axe and Prime//2.0 Karambit — the clean classics
The original Prime bundle (June 2020) came with the Prime Axe, and Prime//2.0 (March 2021) added the Prime//2.0 Karambit. Both have a gold-and-white look with understated effects.
7. Sovereign Sword — the longsword flex
The Sovereign Sword swaps the usual blade for an ornate longsword, a one-of-a-kind silhouette in the buy menu.
8. Honorable mentions
Collectors also look for the Recon Balisong, the Oni Claw and the Singularity Knife. Pair two or more of these with a Champions knife or the Elderflame Dagger and an account sits firmly in collector territory.
What knives add to an account: our September 2026 data
Market data from 25 September 2026. These figures cover the active Valorant listings on BuyAccount that had knife data (919 accounts). They're asking prices for whole accounts, not completed sales and not the value of the knife itself. No outliers were removed.
| Knife skins on the account | Listings | Median asking price |
|---|---|---|
| None | 356 | ~$146 |
| 1 | 276 | ~$165 |
| 2–4 | 228 | ~$236 |
| 5 or more | 59 | ~$358 |
Accounts with a Champions melee had a median asking price of about $377 across 43 listings. Among single knives with at least 25 listings, accounts with the Prime//2.0 Karambit asked about $309 (32 listings), the Reaver Karambit about $307 (29), the RGX 11z Pro Firefly about $271 (36), the Reaver Knife about $210 (25) and the Recon Balisong about $106 (37). The rest of the locker differs between these accounts, so read the figures as a guide rather than a price for the knife alone.
Knife skins by edition and availability
| Knife / line | Store price | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Champions knives (2021–2025) | Sold in the yearly Champions bundle | Sold once, during the event window |
| Elderflame Dagger | Ultra melee, 4,950 VP | Can reappear in the store; never in the Night Market |
| RGX 11z Pro Blade / Firefly | 4,350 VP | Can reappear in the store; not in the Night Market |
| Reaver Knife / Reaver Karambit | 3,550 / 4,350 VP | Can reappear in the store |
| Oni Claw | 3,550 VP | Can reappear in the store |
| Glitchpop, Prime, Sovereign and Recon melees | Varies by line | Can reappear in the store |
The Night Market can discount melee skins that cost up to 3,550 VP. More expensive melees, and Exclusive or Ultra-edition skins, are excluded.
Why a knife adds so much value
Every Valorant skin is bound to the account that bought it, so the only way to own someone's Champions Karambit or Elderflame Dagger is to own the whole account. A buyer paying for a knife-heavy account is paying for a locker they would otherwise have to rebuild at store prices, and part of it, like the Champions knives, they couldn't buy at any price today. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the most expensive knife skin in Valorant?
At store prices, Ultra-edition melees cost the most, at 4,950 VP. On the account market, accounts with Champions knives ask the most, because each was sold only during its event and none has returned to the store.
Can you buy just a knife skin in Valorant?
Only when it's available in your store offers or a featured bundle. There's no marketplace and skins can't be traded, so a knife you missed means waiting for it to return. For event-exclusive knives like the Champions line, the only option is an account that already owns one.
Do the Champions knives ever come back?
Riot hasn't brought an older Champions bundle back to the store. Each year's edition is sold during the Champions event and then removed, which is why these knives carry the strongest collector value of any melee.
Which knife adds the most to an account's value?
In our listings, accounts with a Champions melee had the highest median asking price, about $377. Among regular knives, accounts with the Prime//2.0 Karambit or the Reaver Karambit were near the top, at about $309 and $307.
