Prime and Reaver are two of Valorant's best-loved Premium-edition lines, and the choice comes down to taste, not power: Prime is clean white-and-gold luxury, Reaver is dark and gothic. Both lines had a 2.0 follow-up, and in each case the karambit came with the 2.0 bundle. On our marketplace in September 2026, accounts with either line's headline skins asked similar prices, so pick the look, and the knife, you'd rather stare at.

The Prime collections

The original Prime bundle arrived at Valorant's launch in June 2020 with skins for the Classic, Spectre, Guardian and Vandal, plus the Prime Axe melee. Prime//2.0 followed in March 2021 with the Frenzy, Bucky, Phantom and Odin, plus the Prime//2.0 Karambit. The look is white, gold and chrome: expensive-looking without being loud.

Players like Prime for its crisp, mechanical feel and its neutral style, which suits any agent. The Prime Vandal is one of the most recognizable rifle skins in the game; you can browse accounts that have it on our Prime Vandal page.

The Reaver collections

The original Reaver bundle launched in November 2020 at 7,100 VP with skins for the Sheriff, Guardian, Vandal and Operator, plus the Reaver Knife (3,550 VP on its own). Reaver 2.0 followed in 2022 with the Phantom, Spectre, Odin and Ghost, plus the Reaver Karambit, sold at 4,350 VP on its own. The look is dark purple and black, with dramatic effects.

The Reaver Vandal is the star of the line and one of the most-used skins in the game.

Prime vs Reaver: head to head

Both are Premium-edition lines, so a single rifle skin costs 1,775 VP and a full Premium bundle 7,100 VP when it's on sale. The differences are about style and which pieces you want.

Neither line is retired for good, so neither carries the scarcity premium of a Champions skin. On a resale locker they read as solid premium value, not rare grails. Our skin tier list puts them in context.

What the market says

Market data from 25 September 2026. Median asking prices of active BuyAccount listings that include each skin. These are whole-account asking prices, not completed sales, and the rest of the locker differs between accounts, so read them as a guide:

Accounts that include…ListingsMedian asking price
Reaver Vandal149~$218
Prime Vandal121~$208
Reaver Phantom67~$233
Prime//2.0 Phantom67~$188
Prime//2.0 Karambit32~$309
Reaver Karambit29~$307
Reaver Knife25~$210

The two karambits sat almost level, and both rifle lines asked broadly similar prices. Reaver is slightly more common on the listings we had. For how skins, knives and rank combine into a price, see how much a Valorant account is worth.

Which knife wins?

  • Reaver Karambit: dark and dramatic, matching the Reaver guns. It came with Reaver 2.0.
  • Prime//2.0 Karambit: clean gold and white with a smooth inspect. It came with Prime//2.0.

If you'd rather have the original knives, the Reaver Knife and the Prime Axe came with the first bundles. There's no wrong answer: pick the melee whose color scheme you'd rather look at for hundreds of hours. Our ranking of the best Valorant knife skins compares them with other melees.

Which should you pick?

  • Pick Prime if you want a clean, gold, luxury look that suits any agent.
  • Pick Reaver if you want the iconic Reaver Vandal and a darker style.
  • Buy the bundle if you want the melee: the full bundle is the efficient way to get it, and Radianite then unlocks the upgrade levels and variants (see Radianite Points explained).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Prime or Reaver better in Valorant?

Neither is objectively better. They're both Premium-edition lines with the same prices, and skins never change gameplay. Prime is clean gold and white; Reaver is dark and gothic.

How much do the Prime and Reaver bundles cost?

As Premium-edition bundles, each full bundle costs 7,100 VP when it's in the store, and a single rifle skin costs 1,775 VP. The Reaver Knife costs 3,550 VP on its own and the Reaver Karambit 4,350 VP.

Which bundle has the karambit?

The 2.0 versions. Prime//2.0 (2021) came with the Prime//2.0 Karambit and Reaver 2.0 (2022) with the Reaver Karambit. The original bundles came with the Prime Axe and the Reaver Knife.

Are Prime and Reaver rare?

No. They aren't permanently retired, and their skins keep reappearing, so they add solid premium value to an account without the scarcity premium of a Champions skin.
