The Aerial Assault Trooper used to be one of the two skins collectors named as Fortnite's rarest, but it returned in the OG Season Shop in December 2024. Today the skin on its own doesn't prove an early account: in our 25 September 2026 snapshot, the 31 active listings that include it had a median asking price of about $72, in line with other accounts of their size. What still carries a premium is a 2017 original, which Epic marked with an exclusive black-and-gold style in 2025.

What is the Aerial Assault Trooper?

The Aerial Assault Trooper is a Rare outfit from Fortnite's first season. It was sold in the Chapter 1 Season 1 Season Shop (8 November to 13 December 2017) for 1,200 V-Bucks, but only after you reached level 15 that season. It pairs with the Aerial Assault One glider from the same shop. The design is a plain military trooper; its appeal was always about proving you played in 2017.

Is it still one of the rarest skins?

Not in its standard form. On 20 December 2024 Epic reopened the Season 1 items in the OG Season Shop, with the Aerial Assault Trooper unlocked at 1,000,000 XP and the glider at 500,000 XP, and that shop has returned since. Epic then gave players who bought the skin in 2017 an exclusive black-and-gold style, so the original is still scarce and still distinguishable. Our list of the rarest Fortnite skins shows where it sits now, and Black Knight vs Renegade Raider explains why the Season 2 Battle Pass skins kept their status while the Season Shop skins didn't.

What is an Aerial Assault Trooper account worth?

Market data from 25 September 2026 (05:04 UTC). Asking prices of active BuyAccount listings, not completed sales; no listings removed as outliers; whole accounts, not the skin's own value.

AccountsListingsMedian asking priceMiddle 50% of listings
Include Aerial Assault Trooper (typical locker: 188 skins)31~$72~$32–$161
Any account with 100–199 skins (for comparison)530~$47~$27–$94
Any account with 200+ skins (for comparison)207~$94~$64–$152

With a typical locker of 188 skins, these accounts ask about what their size alone would suggest. None of the 31 listings named the skin in its title, and listing data can't show whether a copy is a 2017 original. A verified original with the black-and-gold style is rarer; too few listings prove an original to publish a figure, so those accounts are priced case by case. The Fortnite account value guide has the full market tables, and the Fortnite account value calculator gives a figure for a specific locker.

What moves the price up or down

  • Original-owner styles: the black-and-gold Aerial Assault Trooper, and the exclusive style for 2017 owners of the Aerial Assault One glider.
  • Season 2 Battle Pass skins: a Black Knight can't return under Epic's current policy, and accounts that include it asked about $188 in the same snapshot.
  • Promo exclusives such as Galaxy or IKONIK, which were never sold in the shop.
  • Account age and health: a genuine 2017 account with full original email access, no bans and clean platform links.

The Renegade Raider value guide covers the other Season Shop skin that returned, with the same checks.

How to buy an Aerial Assault Trooper account safely

  • Verify the style on a live video if the price assumes an original, and ask for proof that the account was active in 2017.
  • Insist on full original email access so you can secure the account under your own inbox right away.
  • Use a marketplace with escrow that holds payment until access is confirmed.
  • Lock it down immediately: change the email and password, enable 2FA and remove the seller's console links.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Aerial Assault Trooper still rare?

The standard skin isn't: it returned in the OG Season Shop in December 2024. The 2017 original, identified by its exclusive black-and-gold style, is still scarce because that style can't be earned now.

Can you still get the Aerial Assault Trooper?

It came back in the OG Season Shop for 1,000,000 XP, and that shop has returned since, so the skin can reappear. The original-owner style is limited to players who bought it in 2017.

How much is an Aerial Assault Trooper account worth?

In our 25 September 2026 snapshot, the 31 active listings that include the skin had a median asking price of about $72, with the middle half between about $32 and $161. A verified 2017 original is priced case by case.

Is the Aerial Assault Trooper rarer than the Renegade Raider?

Both came from the same 2017 Season Shop, the Aerial Assault Trooper at level 15 and the Renegade Raider at level 20, and both returned in December 2024. In our listings the Aerial Assault Trooper appeared less often (31 listings against 119), but for both skins it is the 2017 original style that matters to collectors.
